In February 2024, after 12 years of litigation, s class action case finally resolved after trial in the Alameda County Superior Court.  Trial attorneys Mark E. Ellis and Lawrence K. Iglesias  achieved a complete victory against a certified class.  The Court found in favor of our client Defendant, finding no violation of California’s Unfair Competition Law (Business & Professions Code § 17200 et seq.) and it dismissed the action.   The Court’s final statement of decision found that Plaintiff and the class had each failed to carry their burden of establishing any claim for relief against our client.

2022 - 2023

2022 and 2023 were banner years for Ellis Law Group's clients!

  • In 2022, Ellis Law Group achieved a significant win after a 5-month trial in Yolo County Superior Court in a hard-fought partnership dispute worth several million dollars to our clients.

  • In August of 2023, the firm obtained a judgment on behalf of its clients which, with fees and costs, totaled almost $9.4 Million.

  • Over the two years of 2022 and 2023, the firm has continued its strong appellate record by winning several significant appeals in legal malpractice and other interesting areas.

  • Likewise, over the last two years, the firm has either "defensed," or has settled for nuisance amounts, several legal malpractice cases for its defendant attorney clients.

  • On the plaintiff malpractice side, we have settled plaintiff malpractice suits  in the six figures for our plaintiff clients.

  • We also successfully represented client attorneys in State Bar investigations.

We look forward to such successes for our clients in 2024.
